Madrid Gathering Promotes Dialogue and Diversity

A notable gathering in Madrid united religious representatives, cultural figures and civic voices to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, promoted by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, placed emphasis on dialogue, tolerance and mutual understanding. The dialogue included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and Denise González. Speakers offered reflections from faith, culture and public service on how open dialogue can help build more inclusive communities.

Throughout the gathering, participants considered themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora linked the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when accompanied by mutual understanding and responsibility.
